Event Description:

A Space for Freedom is a juried exhibition at the Patty McMullen-Mikles Art Gallery that reflects on freedom through portraiture, form, and space. We are honored to have Tai Lipan from NAU Beasley Gallery join us as Juror. Featuring portraits that explore the people and identities connected to freedom, the exhibition also includes three-dimensional works that consider how freedom takes shape, moves, and expands within space. A community postcard project extends the exhibition beyond the gallery, inviting mailed artworks that share personal visions of how freedom is seen, shaped, and imagined. Presented in celebration of America 250, A Space for Freedom invites viewers to pause, reflect, and consider the many ways freedom can be expressed and experienced.
